Celebrating the therapists who make Horizon what it is
At Horizon Therapy Rooms, the heart of what we do is not simply the space itself. It is the people who bring that space to life.
Every day, thoughtful, meaningful and transformative work is taking place behind the doors of our therapy rooms. Therapists are supporting people through moments of uncertainty, helping them understand themselves more deeply, and creating environments where healing and growth can happen.
As our community continues to grow, we wanted to create a way to shine a light on the incredible practitioners who work from Horizon.
Our Therapist Community Spotlight series is a chance to introduce the people behind the practice. Each feature shares a little about a therapist’s approach, experience and specialism, while also celebrating the work they do and the role they play within the Horizon community.
We hope this space helps fellow professionals connect, gives potential clients insight into the breadth of expertise within Horizon, and celebrates the diversity of therapeutic approaches that make this community so special.
Below you’ll find the practitioners who have chosen to share their story as part of the Horizon Therapist Community Spotlight.
Each therapist featured here runs their own independent practice and brings their own experience, perspective and approach to the work they do.

Roxanne believes therapy should fit the individual, rather than trying to fit the person into a specific type of therapy. Her approach is integrative, drawing on different tools and ways of working depending on what feels right for each client and their unique needs.
A significant part of Roxanne’s work involves supporting adults who feel they are navigating the world while wearing a mask. Many of the people she works with find themselves constantly people-pleasing or feeling exhausted by the pressure to “perform” for others. Roxanne aims to provide a neuroaffirming space where those expectations can begin to fall away.
In sessions, she helps clients find their own voice, establish clearer boundaries and unlearn the ingrained patterns that often leave them feeling drained. Her goal is to support people in feeling more comfortable being themselves, without the heavy weight of everyone else’s requirements.
Roxanne’s path into mental health and wellbeing began working in secondary schools, where she developed a strong foundation in supporting people through complex and often overwhelming emotions.
Since then, she has worked with adults in both university settings and within a low-cost therapy centre. These different environments have helped shape a practice that is accessible, grounded and responsive to the varied challenges people face today.
Whether someone is navigating the pressures of a demanding environment or simply trying to make sense of their internal world, Roxanne focuses on meeting each client exactly where they are.
“I chose to practice from Horizon Therapy Rooms because the space itself is so warm and welcoming. To me, it feels like a physical extension of the therapy I want for my clients — cosy, comfortable and a place where people can truly feel at ease.
Having a safe, quiet environment is such an important part of the process, and I find this space helps my clients feel settled from the moment they walk through the door.”

Someone Who Listens

One-to-one Listening Support, offering time and space for clients to speak openly about what’s on their mind — for them to be truly heard without judgment, analysis, or agenda.
Following two years of study at the Birkbeck Centre for Counselling, I went on to provide one-to-one Listening Support with a charity supporting those who feel life is no longer worth living. I now bring this experience into private practice, offering the same thoughtful and grounded way of holding space.
In Horizon Therapy Rooms, I have found a perfect partner. Every detail is carefully thought out for ease and comfort, to help both clients and therapists land gently into the space and feel comfortable. I’m so impressed.

Room for Being

Existential psychotherapy integrated with mindfulness and embodiment
5 years of psychotherapy training at Regent’s University London, 4 years volunteering at low-cost counselling services and 3 years of working in private practice. I’m also trained as a yoga, breathwork and meditation teacher and bring a grounded mindfulness to sessions from these teachings. I have experience working with various issues, but specialise in facilitating trauma processing and integration and navigating difficult emotions and life experiences.
I like working from Horizon Therapy Rooms because the rooms feel bright, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated. The room I work from is a lovely holding space for my sessions. I also appreciate that the rooms are soundproofed, as this is hard to come by in my experience of renting therapy rooms in London.

I'm an experienced psychological therapist (dramatherapist) with many years of clinical practice, offering culturally-sensitive, anti-oppressive, queer-affirmative trauma-informed confidential therapy sessions. Beyond my clinical work, I serve as a clinical supervisor for therapists, counsellors and mental health professionals. I have also been holding managerial and leadership roles in different therapeutic settings. I have presented my work at several conferences and I have written a chapter in an edited book on dramatherapy. I have also been working as a visiting lecturer, teaching dramatherapy modules in MA and BA university courses and supervising trainee therapists in placement.
My approach combines dramatherapy, psychodynamic principles and systemic frameworks to create personalised therapeutic processes. I believe in the power of creative expression, imagination and embodied experience to facilitate deep healing and personal growth. In the sessions, I offer opportunities for using action-based methods, such as embodiment, breath-work, art-making and role work, but you are always the one to decide how much of these (if at all) feel the most beneficial to help you develop insights and tools for meaningful change.
I work with individuals, couples, families, organisations and groups for issues that include:
I am delighted to work within the Horizon Therapy community and feel supported with the practical aspects of my work, allowing me to offer psychological support to my clients.

Our counsellors work across a range of therapeutic approaches, including transpersonal, psychodynamic, person-centred and existential. Most work with an integrative approach, tailoring it to meet the individual needs of each client.
We are a registered charity that has provided a safe and non-judgemental space for over 50 years, helping Londoners navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief and relationship issues.
We make professional counselling accessible with two clear pathways:
Low-Cost Counselling: Sessions from £30* with our skilled counsellors in advanced training, closely supervised by a senior supervisor.
Counselling: Sessions from £60 with our experienced, fully qualified therapists.
We value the calm, professional environment at Horizon and the opportunity it provides to support clients in a welcoming and well-equipped space.
The Horizon community continues to grow, and we look forward to introducing more of the therapists who work from our rooms in future features.
Each practitioner brings their own expertise, perspective and care to the work they do, and we are proud to support a community built on connection, professionalism and wellbeing.
